Fans leave all the time in the 3rd and 4th quarter before the game is over. Nobody wants to be stuck in a terrible traffic jam, especially not tonight.
I cut you guys some slack when some of you elected to boo during Clintwood's player introductions -- after all, there are always a few in every crowd.
What really got to me, though, was when, during the 3rd quarter, with the score 21-13, y'all just started leaving. I even saw cheerleaders leaving the field. I know it was a wet, nasty night, but you knew the weather forecast. I was there from 4:30 today -- I don't think any of you were wetter than I was.
Every one of you who got up and left while your boys were still busting their butts on that field should be ashamed of yourselves. What kind of message did you send to your team? "We love you when you win, but if you're behind, well, we're not gonna sit in the rain to watch you lose?"
I've had the good fortune to meet a couple of your players, and they seem to be fine young men. IMO, they deserve a whole heck of a lot better than they got from their own fans tonight.
So, to those of you who decided to withdraw your support from a group of kids who NEEDED your support by bailing on them because they were behind -- your behavior was disgraceful, and inexcusable. Shame on you.

Officially retired
probably was some of the same ones that was just a couple of weeks ago calling CW over-rated after the loss to gc
I was not at the game, but I listened to it on the radio, and I can tell you something that ticked me off at some Norton fans. They had a player down on the field, Coleman, I believe. And I could here fans saying crap to the refs, calling them idiots etc. I'm sorry, but when a player is down, you behave yourself, and if it's one of your own, that is even more of a reason to keep your mouth shut. I know that no one likes to lose, but that kind of behavior is inexcusable.
Some people's reality is a fantasy because they don't know the difference between truth and lies
No I stayed till the end and I was just running off the mouth when I said that, who didn't know CW had a good team. Congrats to both teams. Region D championship game may be one of lpd's top 5 game.
I heard that as well...a lil profanity mixed in to boot...ahhh..those classy Raider fans...
...And if you ain't down with that, I got 2 words for ya....
There were also some of us who stayed in that weather, even when we were down by 14 with 5 minutes to go and right after a turnover.
Clintwood had an amazing crowd tonight, but I was pretty sickened when Talley was down and heard some woman from the CWood side scream "Just get him off the field!" to what was originally thought to be a potentially season ending injury.
I've been very lonely in my isolated tower of indecipherable speech.
I think some of that reaction came because when Coleman was down on the Clitwood's side, they refs made them get back on the field and into their huddle as if they weren't even going to take the time to let Coleman get off the field and that is what set some of the fans off. Not saying it was right but that is what sparked the reaction.

typical norton fans......they have no class.
Yea, that was rude, but it was on both sides.
